The summer is a great time for kids to have fun! But this year has been especially challenging due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now that things are finally starting to open up and the weather is also getting better, it is time to start getting creative and plan some epic summer activities for your kids!
In this blog post, we’re going to talk about 5 epic summer activities and hobbies for kids that will get their blood pumping while having a blast!
Metal detecting is a great hobby for kids of all ages (including adults) that can be done both indoors and outdoors. Kids will love the thrill of searching through old playgrounds or other interesting places to find hidden treasures. This hobby will make them feel like little detectives or pirates on the hunt for gold and other treasures.
Metal detectors can seem a little intimidating at first, but they are actually very easy to use. To help you get started, we have put together a quick guide so you can understand all that is involved. Also, as a bonus, if you show your kids all the amazing treasures that have been found while metal detecting, their excitement is bound to go through the roof!
This is great way to make your backyard a child’s dream! At a friend’s party the other day, I saw kids playing on trampolines and they were having a blast! This is a great way to get your kids out and jump off all that extra energy while you enjoy some time to yourself ( Now, who doesn’t want that!)
We recommend looking at the suggestions of the best trampolines we have made to ensure you are getting the top quality and most safe trampolines on the market. The thing is love is that you can get them in every shape and size. So you are guaranteed to find the size that fits your needs the best. You can even find smaller portable ones that can even be kept indoors and can also be taken anywhere.
The best part about the trampoline is that it can keep your kids active for hours! So you have no need to worry about them being bored during these lazy days of summer because their time will be filled with jumping and fun!
This is something EVERY kid would love to have. How can they not when they are so much fun? There’s something about riding a hoverboard that just makes you feel like Tony Hawk.
Hoverboards are a great way for kids to get off their devices and exploring. At LeisureHead, we love jumping on our boards and exploring new areas with our kids. If you are a family who loves to do summer trips, we would recommend getting the off-road hoverboards, since they can be ridden on roads as well as the beach and trails. There are no limits to where your kids will want to go!
If you have any safety concerns, don’t! We have explained in detail all you need to know about how a hoverboard works, safety standards to look for and learning how to ride one. Your kids will be zipping around on these within no time!
Ping pong is a fun, low-pressure game that can be enjoyed by anyone. It’s a great way to have fun and get exercise, all in one go! It’s easy to set up and doesn’t require much skill or athleticism. Ping pong tables are an affordable option for parents looking to entertain their kids with something new but not too expensive. We love that this is such a fun sport and your kids can learn it and also start mastering it right at home.
The set-up is minimal: a table, two paddles and balls. The rules are simple too: to win the game you must get more points by hitting your opponent’s ball into their side of the table or making it bounce off the edges of the tabletop without going over. Points can be earned by getting one point for every time the ball bounces off the playing surface, and an additional point if a player’s opponent cannot return it.
The best thing about this game is that you can turn it into anything: make alliances with other players; set up speed matches of ping pong dueling to get points as quickly as possible. Whatever way you choose to play, there’s lots of room for creativity and fun. The best thing is that you never know if this hobby might turn-into a new passion for your child!
Disc Golf is a great way to keep kids active and engaged this summer. It’s often called Frisbee golf, but it has nothing to do with the game of golf. Many neighborhood parks now-a-days have disc golf courses so you can find one near your home. Your kids can bring their friends along and have some great competition! If you don’t have a course close to your house, you can even buy disc golf baskets and set up your own disc golf course wherever you go.
The rules of the game are very similar to traditional golf. The object of the game is to get one’s disc from a tee, through an obstacle course in as few shots as possible by following the rules and regulations that are specific for each hole on your chosen course.
What we love about disc golf is that since the conditions of the course keep changing, the kids have to keep adapting and learning how to make their shots. This keep them super engaged, and they’ll have a blast as they learn their way around the course.
